THE LOVELESS CAFE SHOWS US A GREAT WAY TO USE OUR FINAL PEACHES

Peach season may be starting to wind down but we are still eager to use this ripe and juicy stone fruit as much as possible. The Loveless Cafe, just outside of Nashville, Tennessee has the perfect recipe—combining this essential summer fruit with familiar fall flavors. Alisa Huntsman, author of Desserts from the Famous Loveless Cafe (Artisan Books, 2011) shared with us the Southern favorite sweet treat, Brown Betty. Warm brown sugar-coated peaches and fluffy biscuits bake together in comfort food harmony, and the Drunken Caramel Sauce, used to top this glorious dessert, complements the dish perfectly. We like to serve this simple dessert with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, but it would be just as decadent with whipped cream.
