Do you make a mean meatloaf? Do you whip that meringue into shape? Do you think you have what it takes to be innovative and successful in the kitchen? Then show us, old-school style, by bringing a dish to the Slow Food Potluck at Indie Grits in Columbia, South Carolina, this Sunday.

We’ll be there, tasting and testing, and two lucky winners will take home a piece of Le Creuset and a subscription to The Local Palate. Why? Because we love to support Slow Food, because we love an excuse to enjoy food and beverages on a spring day, and because home cooks inspire us. Show us what you got—get tickets here.

Be warned, though, some of Cola’s best chefs will be there too, bringing their potluck to the party. Are you ready to up your game but can’t make the event? Then take some inspiration from Chef Wes Fulmer of Motor Supply Co. Bistro. This is easy, and Brussels and bacon are a classic match.
