The gingerbread competition at The Grove Park Inn has become a landmark event. In its 23rd year, it is now the largest gingerbread competition in the nation, with 150 entries. Even more impressive than the size of the event is the level of skill the competitors bring. The entries are not typical gingerbread houses, adorned with royal icing and gum drops — they are edible masterpieces. The entries are divided into 4 age brackets, from adults to young children, and the structures must be made from at least 75% gingerbread and be completely edible.
