That this comfort food classic from Feast & Forest is a beauty is no surprise given that Victor King and Kristen Farmer Hall opened their Birmingham, Alabama bakery/café in a former photography studio, a space made for artful creations. But really, who cares about looks—it’s what’s inside that matters. And here an egg yolk and potato starch slurry is used to thicken the filling, placing this rich dish in a comfort class all its own.
