If you’re lucky enough to be invited to a party this season where Chef Todd Mazurek’s Oysters Rockefeller are on the menu, you’re lucky enough. Starting with oysters from Clammer Dave or Lady’s Island Oysters, he cooks them over an open flame in their own juices on the half shell then offers them up, hot off the grill, over beds of rock salt.
For these fancy oysters, don’t forget the presentation is part of the “wow,” along with the taste. And now you have an excuse to pull out that grill during the winter months.
