The Secret South

Combining the sweet Southern taste of pineapple with apple cider vinegar makes

1 ounce Citadelle gin

½ ounce sage liqueur

½ ounce pineapple shrub*

1 ounce dry sparkling wine

*Pulled straight out of the colonial era, shrubs are also known as drinking vinegar.

  1. Combine first three ingredients with ice.
  2. Shake and strain into chilled cocktail glass.
  3. Top with dry sparkling wine.
