Spring is energizing, so it’s the perfect excuse to revamp your kitchen or dining room with some bold new items. I was inspired by Jamie Meares’ recent Bohemian table design we included in print, so I decided to seek out few colorful, vibrant accessories to liven up any room where you cook, snack, or dine. From handmade ceramic plates to sassy linen cocktail napkins, here are some of my favorite pieces to add a splash of color and excitement to your springtime table.

Add a dash of humor to your cocktail hour. Based out of Austin, TX, Kate Hersch’s linen designs are hand-embroidered.

Ring Dish in Aqua or Rose

by Suite One Studio

Greensboro, NC designer Lindsay Emery shapes these small ceramic dishes by hand. With a swirl of color and a hand painted rim of gold, these lovely items are always colorful, never gaudy.

Agate Coasters

by Shiraleah

I’m always looking for a fun alternative to a classic wood or cork coaster. Made from slices of agate, these aqua-blue coasters bring a splash a color to any surface.

Parentesi Scroll Placemats

by La Gallina Matta

Ever since seeing these Italian linen placemats featured on Jamie Meares’ table design for TLP, I can’t get their rich colors (melon, sage, denim, and fuschia) and unique shape out of my head. I’m dreaming of these mats paired with freshly cut spring flowers and dinner party guests who are [sage] green with envy.

Poppies Tray

Whether you prop it up on your bar cart or use it to serve drinks on your patio, this brightly patterned melamine serving platter from Dallas-based designer Megan Adams may just upstage your cocktails.

Citrus Squeeze Bottle Opener

by Anthropologie

Here’s the wild card—a citrus wedge bottle opener. What’s better than the sound of opening up a cold brew (or soda)? This might just be the best accessory to TLP’s favorite summer beers.
