5 o’ Clock Somewhere Friday: Bar Song

Bob wrote in Wednesday’s post about naming your cocktails, and here we have another one in honor of a Tom Waits song.

The music of Tom Waits talks about drifters, dim rooms, and dank outcomes, and his voice is just as dark and raspy. What a fitting name for this deep cocktail for bleak winter days from Jeff Faile of Iron Gate. I was in DC this time last year, and Faile’s cocktails warmed me up on a night where rain and snow mixed seamlessly on the streets and two pairs of gloves was not enough.

Just hang on. Help is coming.
