The folks at Cathead Distillery in Mississippi, in short, are good people. The first legal distillery in the state after it repealed Prohibition (and it was the last in 1966), this distillery not only makes some quality hooch, it also supports Southern culture through blues music projects and through participating and partnering at many a Southern event.

We are happy to be partnering with Cathead Distillery for our upcoming Billy Reid Dinner series (do you have your tickets yet?), and we’re working with our events team to whip up just the right celebratory libations that the evenings deserve.

But you don’t have to take our word for it—bartenders across the region love to show the love to Cathead, mixing its liquors into many a share-worthy cocktail. Case in point, the following from our archives that might just inspire you to have a celebratory libation of your own this weekend.
