The Local Palate traveled to West Virginia to explore the unique culinary scene and cultural eats of this Southern mountain state. After filling our bellies in the capital city of Charleston we traveled on to one of the “best small cities in the country” – the city of Morgantown. To wrap up our culinary journey of West Virginia we landed in Fayetteville, a town located on the rim of the New River Gorge. We dined at city favorites like Cathedral Cafe and explored the flavors of other dining destinations for this river town.
