Preparing for Thanksgiving is not for the faint of heart; it takes a lot of planning. All of my friends will tell you that my family and I are not big planners. We have more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants approach to life, which works in most scenarios, but not for Thanksgiving. So we have begun planning.
There are essential elements to every Thanksgiving table, including the turkey and stuffing and (of course) pumpkin pie. This year, though, we decided to try a dessert that is pumpkin, just not the usual pie. Here are some choices beyond the pie, and I hope you’ll take some inspiration from some of the chefs featured in TLP, if not from my less-than-prepared family. You won’t be disappointed:
