Bread Pudding Fit for Your Thanksgiving Table

Bread Pudding Fit for Your Thanksgiving Table

Bread pudding is an underrated dessert. It is homespun and delicious while at the same time versatile and incredibly easy to make. It can be made with day old bread or kicked up a notch with toasted croissants, challah or brioche. Add chocolate chips or a chocolate custard to thrill the most decadent chocolate lover while chopped apples or peaches are a tasty addition that give you a delicious opportunity to use extra seasonal fruit.

Pumpkin is the taste of the season and so Chef Delroy Bowen of Sage Woodfire Tavern in Dunwoody, Georgia uses pumpkin to create an autumnal version, Pumpkin Spiced Bread Pudding. The pumpkin combined with a hint of freshly grated nutmeg and cinnamon make it a great addition to any Thanksgiving menu. Top it with a dollop of whipped cream or a drizzle of bourbon caramel sauce for a dessert everyone will be thankful for.
