In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and in support of local Charlotte restaurant partners impacted by stay-at-home orders, Charlotte Wine + Food (CW+F) developed a Charity Partner Meal Program this past April. To date, Board Members and patrons of the non-profit generously donated more than $13,000 to fund the program, which has provided over 600 meals and counting from 14 local restaurants and delivered to children and families served by CW+F’s four charity beneficiaries including GenOne, Mitchell’s Fund, The Learning Collaborative, and The Relatives.
Charlotte Wine + Food Week presented by Truist, CW+F’s largest annual fundraiser, previously scheduled for April 22-25, 2020 had to be postponed due to the pandemic and is presently set for the fall of 2020, with most events set to take place October 15-17. A challenging outcome of the postponement is that the CW+F charity beneficiaries will see delayed and reduced distributions as a result. CW+F hopes the Charity Partner Meal Program stands as a testament to their commitment to their deserving charity partners and to their incredible community of restaurants that help make CW+F events possible.
CW+F is accepting tax-deductible donations with 100% of proceeds going toward this program through June 26, when Phase 3 Reopening in North Carolina is scheduled to go into effect.
