Gena Knox’s Thanksgiving Table

Acclaimed cookbook author and owner of Fire & Flavor Grilling Co. (a purveyor of all-natural cooking products), Gena Knox serves up a most beautiful and delicious Thanksgiving spread at a family friend’s farmhouse near her Athens, Georgia, home.

“My family always celebrates Thanksgiving at my parent’s farm in South Georgia,” Knox said. “We nibble on appetizers and raw oysters and sip Bloody Marys throughout the day. Come late afternoon, we sit down to an amazing meal, like the one I prepared here, paired with wine. The kids run around the farm, chasing dogs and running in the fields. It is a wonderful escape from our hectic, daily lives as we come together to celebrate food, family, and traditions.”
