Gouda and Bacon

The South is experiencing a blast of wintry weather, and for many people, that means comfort food is in order. Very few things are more comforting than a warm, buttery bowl of grits. Add in some cheese and bacon, and well, though it might not be lo-cal, it definitely is lovely, especially when it comes from Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails, a charming spot in Georgia with warm fireplaces on a cold day.

Chef Derek Dollar knows his Southern ingredients (since he gathers many of them right from his restaurant garden in season), so take his advice and use stone ground grits and quality bacon for this recipe.
