I’ve had plenty of Cinco de Mayos filled with long restaurant waits, light beer, and pools of refried beans next to combo #3s on my plate. If you’re down for that (and sometimes I am) then that’s fine, but this year I’m looking for something different.
First, no more light beer. Tequila, si. Second, how about something fresh and flavorful that won’t lay in my stomach like a brick? I found both at Chef Michel Schlow’s spot, TICO DC, filled with good tequila and good food, and the edamame tacos being the most intriguing of all.
