Otaku South Extra Large Brings Ramen Heaven to Nashville

On April 20th Sarah Gavigan brought her roving ramen shop, Otaku South, to Nashville’s Marathon Music Works where chefs Akiko Moorman (The Gohan Society, NYC), Phillip Foss (EL Ideas, Chicago), Dennis Lange (Southbound, Atlanta), and Guy Wong (Miso Izakaya, Atlanta) joined her for the event dubbed Otaku South Extra Large.

More than 1,000 people attended the event and enjoyed four styles of ramen and various yakitori skewers cooked on custom eight-foot yakitori grills that were designed and fabricated by Gavigan’s husband, Brad. Gavigan said that “We had such a blast, can’t wait to do it again and bring other chefs to Nashville.”
