Everyone has an old standby they go to for dinner, when that trip to the grocery store hasn’t happened or the after work traffic jams seemed endless. Spaghetti sauce from a jar, tacos from a box, or Chinese take-out can seem like the only options. Well, put the jar of spaghetti sauce down, because we have your new go-to dinner. In the September issue of The Local Palate, Nathalie Dupree, a three-time James Beard award winner, shared her favorite family meal for those nights where there’s no time to think twice: sausage and apples.
“It’s an old family recipe-easy to make, easy to serve, and uses up all the apples we have lying around,” Nathalie explaines. “We might have that every couple of weeks.”
