TLP Brought Suds & Seafood to TerraVITA

Last week, we invited Greg Engert (yeah,that Greg Engert: Beer Director of Neighborhood Restaurant Group in DC, one of Food & Wine’s 2010 Top Sommeliers, Beer Expert on NPR’sSplendid Table, and of course, James Beard semifinalist) to emcee a beer panel as part of TerraVITA’s Sustainable Classroomsessions.

Jon Connolly, of Carolina Brewery, and Ben Watts, of Sweetwater Brewing Company, supplied brews and commentary, and Shane Doran of St. Jude Farms shucked oysters and provided seafood for Chef Jay Pierce of Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen to wow the crowd. It was a bit of a star-studded afternoon on a cloudy Chapel Hill day, but who can’t help but smile with suds and seafood?
