For an easy sipper, try this Aperol and tequila cocktail recipe that riffs on the margarita. Made at Maya, a moody, upscale Mexican hangout on Downtown Charleston’s King Street, creator Matthew Van Xanten says,”The ingredients work together to create a well-balanced, yet fruity, sipper with notes of pink lemonade, watermelon, and cucumber.”

Complete with Chareau, lime, and a touch of agave, it doesn’t require too many ingredients to whip this up for your next backyard hangout or cookout.  Van Xanten says, “This is a total patio crusher. It’s an easy-to-drink cocktail that bridges the gap from daytime drinking into the evening.”
