Arnaud’s Basil Smash

Chris Hannah is at the helm of the cocktail program at French 75. He mixes the classics—a mean sazerac and french 75—but has also developed a menu awash with inventive concoctions including his cocktail for toasting the luck of the Irish, Arnaud’s basil smash.

1 cocktail

    Ingredients
  • 2 ounces Irish whiskey
  • ¾ ounce lime juice
  • ½ ounce agave nectar
  • ¼ ounce Chartreuse
  • Garnish: 4 basil leaves and a basil crown
steps
  1. In a cocktail tin filled with ice, combine first four ingredients and basil leaves.
  2. Shake to combine and double strain into an ice–filled glass
  3. Then garnish with basil crown.
