Bells of Jalisco


2 ounces reposado tequila

1 ounce lime juice

½ ounce Jalapeño-Honey (recipe follows)

Cayenne-pickled green bean for garnish


1½ jalapeño slices

10 ounces honey

2 ounces water


  1. Pour tequila, lemon juice, and honey into ice-filled shaker. Shake well and strain into mezcal glass.
  2.  Garnish with a cayenne-pickled green bean.
  1. Muddle jalapeño slices, then combine with honey and let sit overnight.
  2. Strain and dilute with water.
