
Ingredients
Calalloo Mix
40 oz Tomato Juice
20 oz Smoked Red Bell Pepper juice* 1 whole Scotch bonnet peppers (taste and adjust after this)
2 Tablespoons Jamaican Jerk Paste
1 teaspoons grated fresh dasheen (or ½ teaspoon ground if available - taste & adjust after this)
4 okra whole
½ cup fresh lime juice
½ cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons horseradish (taste and adjust after this)
1¼ oz Worcestershire sauce
Salt & Pepper to taste (approximately ½ tsp of each)
*Note: Roast red bell peppers and when cool, juice.
Calalloo Bloody Mary
1½ ounces vodka
6 ounces Mix
Lemon and pickled okra for garnish
Directions
- Place ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Seal mixture in an air-tight container and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Pour the Calalloo mix and vodka into a shaker over ice.
- Shake and pour into a highball glass. Garnish with pickled okra and a slice of lemon.
