Rebirth of Ligeia


¼ ounce absinthe

2 ounces Corsair Gin

1 ounce mission fig syrup

2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters

1 lemon peel


  1. Pour absinthe into coupe glass and fill with ice. Set aside. In stirring glass, pour gin, fig syrup, and bitters.
  2. Fill ¾ of the way with ice and stir for 30 rotations. Discard ice and absinthe in coupe glass and strain cocktail into absinthe-rinsed glass.
  3. Rub lemon peel around glass rim, and drop inside drink.
