North Carolina Peach Week
North Carolina Peach Week is a celebration of the North Carolina Sandhills’ deep peach growing roots. The annual event is celebrating its 25th year and is steeped in 100 years of the region’s peach history. There is something sweet and juicy for everyone during this festive week.
The North Carolina Peach Festival in Candor kicks off more than a week of fun in the form of farm tours, the 5K Peachy Feet Run, Blues Festival, kids’ activities, peach ice cream socials, and a restaurant competition between some of our best restaurants putting their innovative and delicious peach recipes to the test.
Additionally, the week includes the opportunity pick your own peaches from local orchards, enjoy live music at the Blues Festival sponsored by The Pilot Newspaper, attend a free screening of James and the Giant Peach at Sunrise Theater, enjoy a peachy beverage at the area’s craft breweries, a Sip and Stroll event at various businesses in Candor, and more.
