Downtown Greenville’s French bistro Scoundrel is continuing "Friends in Mischief", a quarterly series of collaboration dinners reuniting Chef Joe Cash with culinary friends made throughout his career.
Friends in Mischief aims to bring a diverse range of talent to Scoundrel’s table and Greenville’s dining scene. Set at an approachable price point, the 4-course meal will feature the guest chef’s combination of their take on local ingredients and culinary experience.
Up next is chef Eunjo Park, most recently the executive chef at Momofuku Kawi earning accolades such as Eater’s Best New Restaurant of 2019 and Food & Wine’s Best New Chef in 2020. This Friends in Mischief dinner will be on Friday, January 12th at 7pm.
Chef Eunjo “Jo” Park was born and raised in South Korea before immigrating to Pennsylvania with her family at the age of 11. After graduating from The Culinary Institute of America, she worked in several of the most prestigious kitchens such as Daniel, Le Bec Fin, Per Se and Momofuku. At Momofuku, Jo sought out to dive deeper into her cultural roots and explore the diversity of Korean cuisine.
She returned to South Korea to work at Gaon, a three-starred Michelin restaurant in Seoul, and later worked under Monk JeongKwan at Baekyangsa Temple to be immersed in traditional Korean heritage. Eunjo moved back to New York to be the Executive Chef at Momofuku Kawi, earning accolades such as Eater’s Best New Restaurant of 2019 and Food & Wine’s Best New Chef in 2020. Most recently, Jo was the Executive Chef of Momofuku Ssäm Bar at Pier 17 before moving on as a Chef for a private client in NYC.
“From our times together as young and green prep cooks to line cooks, and now to be cooking with Joe again for one night at his restaurant brings immense joy and happiness. Cheers for our friendship and growth!” - Chef Park
Friends in Mischief will be offered in Scoundrel’s 24-seat private dining room, with regular service continuing in the main dining area. Dinner is priced at $100/person + gratuity and tax with an optional wine pairing each course at $35. Tickets will be sold on Resy.com.
