The Local Palate is seeking a part-time E-commerce Operations Intern to assist the e-commerce department in the daily operation of the Local Palate Marketplace. The candidate must have a strong interest in Southern small businesses and products as well as in the online retail industry. They will succeed if they are highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must also have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Responsibilities include managing product inventory, acquiring resources from vendors for site improvement, writing and submitting proposals to potential vendors, and assisting in the onboarding process for new vendors. This is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of client relations, customer support, and overall e-commerce operations. The intern will report directly to the E-commerce Engagement Manager. The intern will be expected to commit to 12 to 15 hours per week.
