1½ ounces Hendrick’s gin
1 ounce red currant cordial (equal parts red currant juice and sugar, by weight, fortified with 2 ounces vodka per quart)
¾ ounce lemon juice
5 sage leaves, plus more for garnish

Combine all ingredients in a tin, shake hard, and double-strain into a Nick and Nora glass. Garnish with a sage leaf.

Drink of the same name is referenced in the book “Portrait of an Unknown Woman”, but with slightly different ingredients. “Bruno Paillard champagne with Ketel One vodka, red currant, and guava” are what they indicate.
