Culinary-Focused Hotel Experience in Midtown Atlanta

A room at Epicurean Atlanta

Expanding on its original Tampa, Florida, location, Epicurean Atlanta is freshly opened and brings a culinary-focused hotel experience to Midtown under the Marriott Autograph Collection. Named for the Greek philosopher Epicurus, the hotel puts the pleasures of glass and plate front-and-center. The hotel caters to those who prefer that their getaway come with an edible odyssey. It features three restaurants on property, in addition to the Epicurean Theatre, where chefs, sommeliers, and mixologists are often on stage offering classes.

After a curbside check-in at the Epicurean, you’re greeted with a locally crafted beer. From there, check out the first-floor restaurant Reverence through a glassed-in kitchen. A chef might be breaking down a whole tuna or rolling pasta for the house-made agnolotti while a mic allows them to chat with arriving guests. The Epicurean's immersive culinary journey only continues from there, with plenty more chances to dine, relax, and play until check-out.

Set in the heart of Midtown, Epicurean is part of a mixed-use development that houses luxury condos and offices within its three-tower complex. A fifteen-minute walk gets you to sprawling Piedmont Park. There you’ll find a green market and plenty of places to picnic.

The Food Scene: From the start, Reverence beckons with its inviting bar, glassed-in kitchen, and warm, dark woods and textured design elements. A 1,200-bottle wine wall hints at the extensive, globally sourced list—including twenty-six selections by the glass—all meant to enhance executive chef Ewart Wardhaugh’s vibrant menu. Pro tip: Go for the multi-course tasting menu with wine pairings by sommelier Arthur Huynh. A ninth-floor rooftop terrace is where you’ll find Aerial Kitchen & Bar, an upscale poolside dining space with a South American accent—think ceviches, crudos, and seasonal salads for a long, afternoon lunch.

The Office Bar, set at the base of the office tower, provides a bourbon-centric spirits list as well as an elevated sports bar vibe. You can nosh on shared plates like fried-chicken flavored popcorn and “shrimp and grits” Scotch eggs.

The Digs: Wine and spirits are a recurring theme here. Each floor is named for a varietal and a wall of wine boxes meets you at each elevator, while light fixtures evoke stemware and bourbon casks. In the tranquil, easy-going guestrooms, the wine theme continues to mark the decor, while an artisan pantry boasts locally sourced snacks, like Georgia pecans, that are thankfully priced right, while the wine offerings come with tasting notes and the fresh, pour-over coffee is roasted at a sister hotel.
