Founded by Jessica and James Whitley in partnership with The Indigo Road Hospitality Group, this 50-room boutique hotel in the historic Southern Mill district offers a welcoming stay to all visitors.
The Neighborhood:
Only minutes from downtown, guests will find easy access to Athens’ top tourist destinations. As a Southern Mill development, the building is located in Athens’ early economic district, which previously housed various manufacturing facilities during the 1900s. Now, the location offers close proximity to notable sites in Athens, including the University of Georgia.
The Food Scene:
For a modern dining experience, head to the Rivet House’s onsite restaurant, Osteria Olio. With a welcoming Southern flare, this Italian restaurant uses local ingredients and seasonal flavors to create handcrafted pastas and signature entrées. Culinary director of Indigo Road’s Italian concepts Mark Bolchoz leads the culinary team to curate a high-end and modern Italian menu. For dishes served á la carte or family style, try their Chicken Napoletana or their 20-oz ribeye which effortlessly pair with Osteria Olio’s comprehensive wine list and inventive cocktails.
The Digs:
Each room at the Rivet House contains soaring ceilings with large windows, offering ample natural light. Exposed brick lines the walls of the room with stunning white oak vanities for contrast. In a nod to the buildings’ history, faux-denim drapery envelopes the space in an undeniably Americana atmosphere.
The hotel also houses The Spa at Rivet House, a relaxing and calming escape for guests. The Spa offers a wide range of services including personalized treatments for the face, body, and soul using LightStim LED infrared therapy, Electrical Muscle Stimulation treatment, cupping, and more.
