Surrounded by Spanish moss-covered oak trees on Oglethorp Avenue, this boutique hotel housed in an 1853 mansion is perfectly placed in historic downtown Savannah. Outfitted by Charleston-based interior designer Kirby Caldwell, rooms feature lush details like heavy curtains, clawfoot tubs, and bed canopies, with a natural color palette of greens, whites, and browns. In the parlor and drawing room, walls are laden with carefully curated artwork and furnishings are grand, each trinket a treasure. From prompt valet to in-room spa services, guests don’t have to lift a finger. The hotel plans to add four new guest rooms, bringing the total to 20, and aims to open the much-anticipated hotel restaurant, Lester’s, in late spring 2026.

- On-Site Dining: Look forward to oysters and French-leaning fare at Lester’s, expected to open in late spring. The oyster bar and small plates restaurant, which will feature an outdoor seating area, will be open to both hotel guests and the public for lunch and dinner daily. The menu is crafted by chef Jacques Larson of Obstinate Daughter in Charleston and will feature terrines, pâtés, and other shareable dishes. Order an à la carte breakfast from The Drawing Room bar, included with your stay, and come back for craft cocktails in the evening.
- Neighborhood: Historic downtown Savannah is a haven for dining, shopping, and culture. Guests can walk or bike to Forsyth Park for the Saturday morning farmers market or pop down to the riverfront, then visit Telfair Museums, the South’s oldest art museum. Also nearby is The Grey restaurant and cool cocktail bars like Alley Cat Lounge. From River Street to Jones Street, you can take your drink to go.
- Amenities: Opt for in-room spa treatments like a heated stone or deep tissue massage. Check out a bike (first come, first served) and cruise down to Forsyth Park or the riverfront.
- Don’t Miss: The canapé station in the parlor featuring charcuterie and house-baked goods each evening.
