Best Seat in the House: Chez Nous

Molly Rose first ate at Charleston’s Chez Nous in 2021. At some point during the meal, she began to notice that from my exact perspective, everything from the food to the design to the service was operating in a perfect and subtle harmony. It wasn’t orchestrated or intentional; it was kismet. For the first in this photo series, she sat with Chez Nous owner Jill Mattias, who admitted that she’d never actually eaten in the restaurant before. What they captured was the experience of seeing her own magic at work.
