NYC-based bar owner Julie Reiner got the cocktail cognoscenti’s attention when she shared a pic of a perfect daiquiri made in-flight on the way to a family vacation in Hawaii. Her secret weapon is an insulated food bag, which helps the ingredients weather the ten-hour flight. Assuming you aren’t a cocktail overachiever, this adaptation of Reiner’s recipe calls for lime juice and simple syrup. You can combine the two in a travel-size container and still squeak through airport security.
