Special Occasion


Simple Occasion Cocktail

1½ ounces cranberry and nutmeg infused Reposado Tequila*

1 ounce Rumchata or another cream liquor

½ ounces of spiced simple syrup

4 ounces steeping Lapsing Souchong tea**

Sprinkle of fresh ground nutmeg to garnish

Spiced Simple Syrup

2 cups water

4 cups sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 tablespoon whole cloves

*Infusions are very simple – you soak ingredients in a base alcohol until you like the taste.


Simple Occasions Cocktail
  1. Combine all ingredients and serve.
Spiced Simple Syrup
  1. Combine all ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and let simmer, allowing liquid to reduce for 45 minutes.
  2. Strain through a cheesecloth or coffee filter. Refrigerate.
Note: Lapsang Souchong is a Chinese black tea from the Fujian province, famous for its smoky aroma and flavor.
