BayHaven Food and Wine Festival
Make sure to check out the second annual BayHaven Food and Wine Festival, a five-day event celebrating Black Foodways, this fall in Charlotte, North Carolina. Created by Greg and Subrina Collier, who recently launched their restaurant Leah & Louise, the festival centers its attention on Black culinary experts and those just entering the hospitality industry. Over 75 vendors and industry experts will be in attendance from October 19 to October 23 to cultivate a memorable menu and experience. Matthew Raiford, Kristi Brown, Lawrence Weeks, and Adrian Lipscomb are just a few of the people expected to make an appearance.
This year's "Homecoming" theme invites attendees to reminisce about their college days and maybe even show school pride by recognizing the rich culture and customs of historically Black colleges. Dress up for the Formal Gala, relax at the Post-Game Tailgate Cookout, or savor dozens of delicacies at the Pep Rally Tasting Tents.
Tickets must be purchased in advance for one or all of the many spectacular events offered. Don’t miss the Pre-Game Food Truck Rally and Seafood & Oyster Dinner! While the festival is for ages 21 and older, BayHaven Carnival is open to all on Wednesday, October 19. Support Black industry workers and indulge in their culinary creations at the BayHaven Food and Wine Festival this October.
