Charleston Wine + Food Festival 2023

As any local knows, there’s more to Southern cuisine than grits, pork and rice. How about some carnitas, arroz or maiz? This year, Charleston Wine + Food (March 1 to 5, 2023) shines a light on the Latin communities that make their home in the Lowcountry.

El Barrio is a celebration of the diverse flavors of South and Central America and the Caribbean region. Fun fact: you’ll begin to see the influence that Latin cultures have had on Lowcountry flavors through the spices, preparations and pairings that migrated to our coast.

Guests who snag a World of ‘Cue ticket will experience the vast array of texture, aroma and flavors that make low-and-slow cookery so iconic…wherever it occurs.

Sake To Me explores the nuanced world of rice wines, which are just as affected by the grain and the terroir as the adult beverages you may know better.
