Fire, Flour & Fork
Richmond, Virginia
October 31-November 3, 2019
The culmination of more than thirty culinary-centric events each fall, Fire, Flour & Fork is the ultimate celebration of Richmond, Virginia's food scene. The theme for this year’s festival is “celebrating the links of land, legacy and larder”, which honors Virginia’s food history and innovations.
Events begin on Halloween with a costume parade down the Jefferson Hotel’s famous staircase with a late-night dessert party to follow. Friday will bring Pie a la Mode, where you’ll be tempted by sweet and savory pies along with craft ice cream and coffee. On Saturday, the day starts with the Drag Brunch on the Boulevard, but save room for the evening's Sampling the Centuries: Virginia’s Food Firsts. More than twenty chefs and bartenders from around the state will guide a journey through Virginia's foodways from the 1700s to modern day. Sunday’s Food U joins some of the nation’s top food writers and cookbook authors for talks and demos and the fourth John Dabney Dinner will honor the influence of James Hemings on John Dabney, Edna Lewis and other Virginia chefs.
