James Beard Foundation Taste America: Washington, DC
A national dining event celebrating your local restaurant community.
The James Beard Foundation’s Taste America® presented by American Express and Resy brings together chefs, special guests, and diners from across the country to celebrate the local independent restaurants at the heart of our communities. A cohort of chefs, representing 20 markets across the country and known as the TasteTwenty, will host dinners and walk-around tastings spotlighting the breadth and unity of culinary creativity nationwide.
The dinner at The LINE DC will be an intimate gathering with a multi-course menu created by TasteTwenty chef and Chef Bootcamp alum Christian Irabién of Amparo Fondita with collaborating chefs Julie Cortes of Kayu and James Beard Award nominees Danny Lee and Scott Drewno of The LINE DC and The Fried Rice Collective. The menu will reflect the chefs’ signature styles and highlight the uniqueness of their restaurants and the Washington, D.C. culinary community. The dinner will include wine pairings with each course.
