The Local Palate, in partnership with Visit Myrtle Beach, welcomes the state's top talent to Myrtle Beach for The Palmetto Party: An Insider’s Taste of South Carolina on August 16, 2024. Embark on a sensational journey through the heart of South Carolina as local chefs showcase the distinct flavors, culture, and charm of each of the state's regions—the Lowcountry, Pee Dee, Midlands, and Upstate.
After five successful years of publishing the Insider's Guide to Charleston (previously known as Tableaux), The Local Palate is expanding coverage to showcase the best places to eat, drink, play, and stay across the entire Palmetto State. The special edition will highlight hidden gems, local favorites, and must-visit spots from the Upstate to the coast.
The event will be held at the historic Pine Lakes Country Club, Myrtle Beach's first golf course and birthplace of Sports Illustrated. Join us to savor bites from restaurants and Chef Ambassadors across the state, as well as seasonal cocktails from Breakthru Beverage and sips from Grand Strand Brewing Company.
Participating chefs include Javier Uriarte of Ratio Restaurant, Jamie Daskalis of Johnny D's Waffles and The Tasting Room on 9th, Darren Smith of Rivertown Bistro and Bonfire A Smokin' Taqueria, Dayna Lee of Comal 864, Diego Campos Vargas of CAMP, Anthony Marini of The Pass, and Derick Wade of The Darling Oyster Bar.
Doors open to all ticket holders at 6:00pm. 21+ event. IDs will be checked at the door.
Rideshare is encouraged. Please drink responsibly.
The Palmetto Party: An Insider’s Taste of South Carolina is supported by Visit Myrtle Beach, Fortune Fish & Gourmet, D’Artagnan Foods, Breakthru Beverage, Gullah Geechee Chamber of Commerce, and Experience Columbia SC.
