Avocado Toast

Ingredients

1 thick slice whole-wheat bread

½ avocado

Salt

Lemon juice

Chives

Fleur de sel

Red pepper flakes

Extra-virgin olive oil

Directions

  1. Toast bread to golden brown.
  2. Place avocado in a bowl, add generous pinch salt, and squeeze of lemon juice. Mash with fork until consistent in texture. Pile evenly on toasted bread.
  3. Garnish with chives, fleur de sel, and red pepper flakes, as desired. Drizzle with oil.
