¼ ounce rich demerara* syrup
(2:1 sugar to water)
2 ounces Old Grand Dad Bonded Bourbon
Orange peel
Demerara sugar is also known as turbinado sugar or sugar-in-the-raw.

Pour all ingredients to a lowball glass. Add four large ice cubes and stir thirty to forty times. Express an orange peel over and around the glass, then drop into the drink and serve.
