2 drinks

  • 3 red prickly pears
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/3 cup silver tequila
  • 2 Tbsp triple sec
  • 2 tsp agave
  • lime wedge for garnish
  • kosher salt for rim, optional
  1. Peel and place 2 pears in blender with the lime juice. Blend and strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove seeds from pear. Reserve pear-lime juice.
  2. Combine tequila, triple sec, agave, and pear-lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and pour over ice. Peel third prickly pear and slice.
  3. Garnish glass with a lime wedge and slice of pear.
