A Toast to Fall
When the temperature dips and the evenings turn breezy, Lake Oconee is the perfect place to be. Just a short drive from Atlanta, come and enjoy the tastes of the season at the lake.
One of the South’s favorite things about fall is college football! Oconee Brewing Company is making sure to give guests the football experience while still being socially responsible. They will air all the University of Georgia games on a projection screen inside their 3,600 square foot event center. To complement the four quarters of fun, the brewmasters will be serving a delicious fall lineup of craft beers. Featured pours include, Leon’s Lederhosen, a German-style Marzen. GranDunkel, a Dunkelweizen style of a dark, wheat beer. Plus, a Stout and a Brown Ale, perfect for toasting touchdowns.
Following your afternoon of football watching at the brewery, check-in for the night at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee. The resort has recently undergone a multi-million-dollar transformation to all of its guestrooms, suites, and club level lounge. One of the recent updates is the addition of fireside guestrooms. These rooms have their own personal patio with a fire pit and cozy seating, surrounded by beautiful Georgia pines. But before you settle into your luxurious enclave, indulge in a nightcap from the Barrel Room. Located in the hotel lobby, Barrel Room offers an inviting ambiance for sipping cocktails, enjoying a glass of wine, or savoring a cognac. The bar features a curated list of bourbons hand-selected over years by Master Distillers. The barrels can only be found at the resort, making each glass a truly rare experience. Not sure which taste to try, request help from a Certified Bourbon Steward. These men and women understand the nuances of the spirit and will ensure you are paired with your perfect match. End your evening on a sweet note by making s’mores, served nightly at the resort campfire.
In addition to the flavors of fall, Lake Oconee boasts an array of outdoor activities, which can be enjoyed well into the autumn season. Boat rides, golf, and skeet shooting are just a few of the activities that will make your visit unforgettable. Revel in the changing seasons in Greene County, where autumn colors sparkle and the great outdoors beckon to be explored.
