Welcome to Seagrove, an ideal getaway for a weekend exploring the heart of North Carolina. The Seagrove Pottery Highway boasts over 60 shops for leisurely browsing through handcrafted treasures. The country landscape is breathtaking, especially in the autumn. Visit alongside your friends or family and seek out a vessel for your holiday tablescape or get an early start on holiday gifting.

Each Saturday in October, visitors can attend the Potters Pumpkin Patch to peruse handmade pumpkins and gourds, woodland creatures, autumn leaf pieces, fall scented candles, and tablescape accent pieces. Many of the featured pottery pieces will be exclusive to this event. This weekly happening will also offer a variety of activities to experience across the five participating shops. Be sure to check each shop’s open hours and event details prior to attendance.

Pictured here is work from participating shop, The Triangle Studio, featuring pottery from its founders, Kate Waltman and Erin Younge. The two have fired wood kilns together for over nine years and now work within a renovated historic building near downtown Seagrove, North Carolina. The property’s triangular shape influenced its name when it was built back in the early 1900’s, and, after being abandoned for 33 years, it has been restored to a new glory. The building now houses three studio spaces in total and a gallery with pottery and ceramic sculpture by the founding artists and their guests. The work displayed shows a wide variety of pieces including dinnerware, storage vessels, decorative vases, planters, sculptures, big pots, and jewelry.
