The first stop on our tour kicks off at Whitebird, an inviting restaurant located within the Edwin Hotel perfect for brunch before setting off to explore the riverside city. Here, chef Joseph Madzia shares the restaurant’s philosophy—infusing storytelling into the dining experience through dishes that highlight local ingredients. A favorite item on the menu representing this philosophy is a bone-in pork chop, elegantly served with sautéed potatoes, green beans, candied pecans, and a peach-whiskey reduction made with Chattanooga Whiskey. The ambiance is lush and plant-filled, reflecting the restaurant’s mission of bringing the outside in.
Good Kinsmen

Owners Vicki and Sean Lawrenson take pride in being part of the growing Chattanooga culinary community, where chefs often stop by to pick up unique tools and have their knives sharpened. Owned by couple Chloe Wright and Ryan Smith, the bar reflects their vision of authenticity and inclusivity. Situated in a rustic, eclectic 1920s cottage in the historic Riverview neighborhood, The Rosecomb is more than just a spot for drinks—it’s a community space where all guests are welcomed like family. The curated cocktail offerings are paired with Appalachian-inspired small plates to enjoy in the intimate, charming space that feels like home. Easy Bistro & Bar
Dinner is reserved for Easy Bistro & Bar, a cornerstone of Chattanooga’s food scene. Open for over 20 years, the restaurant was founded by chef Erik Niel and draws from his Louisiana roots with a French Creole influence. The institution has continued to evolve serving French classics prepared with Southern flair on the West Village Chattanooga strip. On the menu is a house-made nori fusilli pasta dish with blue crab, yuzu, miso, and Kosho breadcrumbs—a dish that reflects the evolution of the restaurant and its inventive spirit.
