Smoke & Mirrors

Ingredients

1½ ounce Scotch malt whisky

1 ounce Bodegas Gongora

Duque de Carmona orange Sherry*

½ ounce Benedictine

2 dashes Bad Dog Bar Craft sarsaparilla dry bitters*

Orange peel, for garnish

* Products available at the Austin Wine merchant, Bodegas Gongora, or Bad Dog Bar Craft

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with cracked ice.
  2. Stir until extremely cold and strain into chilled cocktail glass or coupe.
  3. Flame an orange peel over the glass and garnish with peel.
