North Carolina Seafood Festival

From shrimp burgers to oysters on the half shell and everything in between, you can experience all kinds of delicious seafood at the North Carolina Seafood Festival. Join us on the waterfront in downtown Morehead City as the largest three-day festival in North Carolina, returns September 30 to October 2, 2022.

Highlighting an endless variety of seafood prepared in a multitude of ways, the North Carolina Seafood Festival features live music and entertainment, talented artisans, rides and games,  educational exhibits, and specialty events such as Blessing of the Fleet, Cooking with the Chef's Tent, Flounder Fling, Oyster Shucking Shoot Out, and Wine & Brine.

The North Carolina Seafood Festival allows locals and visitors alike to gather in the heart of downtown Morehead City to celebrate its thriving fishing community while enjoying the wide variety of seafood indigenous to North Carolina.

Throughout the weekend, nearly 200 individual booths featuring restaurants, civic organizations, school groups and North Carolina artisans showcasing their own interpretation of the best North Carolina has to offer from the bounty of the sea.

Entertain the whole family with live music as continuous acts hit to stage all weekend long! There is plenty of seating on bleachers or grass, making this a great place to listen to the music while eating some of the best seafood North Carolina has to offer.

After a day of delicious seafood, entertainment and shopping, watch as we light up the sky with Saturday night fireworks, enjoyed by festival goers and neighbors alike, as they explode over the waters of the sound.

The seafood festivities are spread from the North Carolina State Port to 11th Street on the beautiful Morehead City waterfront. Free parking is available at the Port on Saturday and Sunday with shuttles transporting festival goers to the fun, and admission is always free.
