4 large pink lady apples, peeled and thinly sliced
¼ cup sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons flour
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
1 cup flour
1¼ cups rolled oats
½ cup lightly packed brown sugar
¼ teaspoons salt
8 tablespoons cold butter, cubed

For the topping:
- Make the filling: In large bowl, mix ingredients until well combined. Set aside.
- Make the topping: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In medium bowl, combine walnuts, flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Using a fork or your hands, thoroughly incorporate butter into mixture.
- To assemble: Transfer apple filling to 9-inch-square baking dish. Top evenly with oat mixture and bake until golden and bubbling, about 45 minutes.
