4 appetizer servings
8 slices pecan whole wheat bread, sliced to 1-inch thickness
Extra virgin olive oil, as desired
Fine sea salt, as desired

Several thin slices of Benton’s country ham
⅓ pound Brie, softened (from Charleston Cheesehouse, if possible)
1 ounce local honey
2 ounces local arugula
ingredients
steps
- Slice bread, drizzle with oil, and season with salt. Grill lightly on both sides until crisp and barely charred. Toasting is an acceptable alternative if grilling is not an option.
- Slather bread moderately with softened Brie. Arrange country ham and peaches on top. Follow with a little bit of arugula and finish with a light drizzle of honey. Serve immediately.
