1 cocktail

  • 2 ounces of El Dorado 5 Year Rum
  • ½ ounce cold brew coffee 
  • ½ ounce orgeat syrup*
  • ¼ ounce Cathead HooDoo Chicory Liqueur
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Crushed ice
  • Mint sprig for garnish
  • Powdered sugar for garnish
  • *Orgeat syrup is a sweet syrup made from almonds, sugar, and a dash of orange flower water.
  1. Combine rum, coffee, orgeat syrup, chicory liqueur and bitters in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake vigorously and then strain over crushed ice in a julep cup.
  3. Top with more crushed ice then garnish with a sprig of mint. Sprinkle mint with powdered sugar and serve.
